FORT MASON, SAN FRANCISCO, FESTIVAL PAVILLION
In the Theater on the show floor- admission free to all attendees. Seating is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis.   The 3 day conference is designed to provide art collectors valuable insights and hard-earned advice on building an art collection. Sessions are geared for both beginner and experienced collectors. As the only such conference like this in the nation, we are recruiting a world-class level of speakers. Each session will be filled with usable tips, distilled facts, do’s and don’ts and lessons learned -in a fast-paced, user-friendly format- without sales hype or academic treatments. Some sessions will be solo presentations, others, moderated panel discussions.

An amazing installation is currently on view now at the FE Gallery on 65th Street. It is the creation of artist Danny Scheible, who’s work is demonstrative both of his constant need to create, as well as his “epic” commitment to the work itself. From his artist’s statement: My art is a test of will and endurance…. The greater endurance I can achieve the more I can make, the longer I can make, the more I will be able to make the next day. Making every day is important to me, and by doing so I make myself.” His current installation, titled “Gnawledge” is magnificently representative of this credo, consisting of a life-sized tree made of layered newspapers, surrounded by approximately 10,000 masking tape structures depicting various fantastical and natural elements. From February 2nd through March 5th, I have a print included in "Paper in Particular 2010" at Larson Gallery, Columbia College, Missouri. It is the 31st annual works on paper exhibition juried by Bradlee Shanks from the University of South Florida. In March, I have a solo exhibition of paintings and works on paper at the FireHouse Gallery, Rogue Community College in Grant's Pass, Oregon. I am also participating in "thINK", an exhibit organized by The Boston Printmakers which aims to answer questions about the process of making prints as well as highlighting individual development. "thINK" begins at Zullo Gallery in Medford, Massachusetts in April and will travel within the U.S. for two years.
