Axis Gallery presents: Dixie Laws: New monotypes and linocuts, and work from the Myrtle Press printmakers.

Dixie Laws exhibits new monotypes and linocuts. The monotypes explore number and letter shapes in bold color. The large scale linocuts further explore imagery with pathways as a compositional element.

Dixie Laws is a Sacramento based printmaker. She was educated at UC Davis and California State University, Sacramento. She has worked in printmaking for the last 20 years, mostly with linocuts, but also with monotypes. She is a member of Myrtle Press prima king studio and the California Society of Printmakers.

Also exhibiting will be the Myrtle Press printmakers, Kyle Doka, Sally Bullock and Emily Wilson. Myrtle Press is a community printmaking facility also located at Verge Center for the Arts.
