Axis Gallery proudly presents Angela Casagrande’s photographic series, “The 21 Day Myth”. Works included in the exhibition were completed over an 8 week period in 2016. The images are a documentation process reflecting on the effects of being outside of a familiar place, in a new situation.

Casagrande’s work explores the power of memory, the liminality of a space and the artifacts we leave behind in this space both physical and immaterial.

Angela Casagrande was born and raised in Humboldt County, California. She received her B.A. in Fine Art from Humboldt State University and her M.F.A. (2018) from Maine College of Art. She is an award winning photographer whose work has been shown nationally and internationally.
She is a full time artist and part time faculty at Sacramento City College. She lives in Sacramento, CA.
