Axis Gallery is pleased to present “Surveying the Prairie of a Room”. Works presented in “Surveying the Prairie of a Room” are an extension of a continuing series, “Grey Areas”. Hunt combines works of mixed media photographic and sculptural objects to explore the relationship between manufactured landscape, nature and interior space. The works derive from observation of light by way of reflection and shadows, as well as inspired by everyday objects.

Ben Hunt was born and raised in San Diego, CA. He received a M.F.A. in Spatial Art from San José State University. Currently, Ben is a technical staff member in the Art Department at California State University, Sacramento. He lives and maintains a studio practice in Sacramento, California.
