“Family Stories…” is an ongoing exploration of family lore, beginning with my own family.  The inspiration to photographically reconstruct the old family stories is a way to record them and document how they helped form who I am.  By retelling stories visually, I present the viewer the unique set of symbols I have found within them.

About the artist:

Angela’s love of photographic imagery stems from her memories of her grandfather’s World War II photographs, her grandmother’s National Geographic book of Egypt, and the encyclopedia set she would browse through daily.

Angela was born and raised in Humboldt County, California and is now a full time artist living and working in Sacramento. She received her B.A. in Fine Art from Humboldt State University and is an award winning photographer whose work has been shown nationally and internationally.
