Opus
“Opus,” is a new series by Janice Nakashima. This new series uses music as the muse in exploring non objective imagery. By using papers, acrylic medium, inks, and paint that are layered together, Nakashima creates visual harmonies and rhythms. Words are also incorporated in some of the pieces which add another dimension of content.
Janice Nakashima has been a member of Axis Gallery for over a decade. Although primarily a painter, she has also made some installation and three dimensional constructed pieces. Her work has been in numerous galleries and art in public places.
