Axis Gallery is pleased to present new paintings by Manual Fernando Rios.
“In this collection of paintings I’m exploring states of discombobulation. I wish to take viewers through a colorful, multi-perspective space where figures are careening through geometric landscapes”.
Manuel Fernando Rios is a Sacramento based artist, Axis Gallery member and art instructor. His early work includes screen-prints used for community outreach and political activism. His current mixed media paintings are inspired by political unrest. Rios earned his BA and MA in Studio Art from California State University, Sacramento. He received his MFA from the University of California, Davis.
