Trompe l'oeil sculptures of water in unlikely forms. The artist explores the universally recognized and common element in the improbable form of a brick or ship or more in this surrealist exhibit. States the artist, "The boat isn't IN the water. The boat IS the water."
Artist Bio
Ray Gonzales is a California artist that has exhibited for many years. Long an Advocate for the Arts he has helped found several non-profit Arts Organizations, is a Professor of Art at Sierra College in Rocklin, California, and currently is on the Board of Directors for NCECA as an On-Site Liaison for 2022. He is a member of Axis Gallery and has completed a number of public and corporate arts commissions.
